EMail Exams Instructions

1. Name the file using solely your exam number or other form of identification. For example, if your number is "1234," name the file 1234.doc or 1234.wpd, as appropriate. Do not use any other letters or numbers, such as "exam1234.doc."

2. Return the exam to willis@law.ufl.edu. Do not send it to any other email address unless you have prior permission (such as the need to send it to an Assistant Dean because of an extended time period or other delay).

3. Use your exam number on the subject line of your email plus either TEO (for Tax Exempts), T2 (Tax II), IT (JD Income Tax), LA (legal accounting), FLE (Family Law Economics), or FFL (Finance For Lawyers). For example, if your number is "1234" call the subject line 1234-T2, 1234-TEO, 1234-IT, 1234-LA, 1234-FLE, or 1234-FFL.

For a Mid-Term exam, you will not have an exam number. Do the following: Use the last four digits of your student id number for purposes of the exam number and the subject line of your submission email. If any overlap occurs, I'll deal with it.

Under all circumstances, keep a copy of your exam. Rest assured I have rarely had a problem receiving or opening emailed exams.

To download the following you should right click and save it. Then open it, using Adobe Acrobat Reader for the pdf version or your wordprosessor for the Word/rtf versions.

If you follow the above instructions, you will receive an automatic response that I received your exam.
If you do not receive that response (almost immediately), you did not follow my instructions. Try again. If you submit it without following instructions, I will not be pleased: your exam will be mixed with general emails and will be annoying for me to deal with. Please make my life a little easier by following instructions.

Note: the docx file works fine if saved first and then opened. For me, it is garbled if opened in a browser. The pdf and rtf work fine opened in a browser or saved.
